Nervous Nick - From a scene near the end of the fifth book that gave his character a lot of depth, his nervousness when Harry asks him about Sirius Black. Scan/Paint Shop Pro. Why I kept it: My original Nick was funny (but bad), and this is good!
Colin Creevy - I conceived this when someone said being petrified meant turning to stone. I wanted to contrast his cold body with the warm floor. Why I kept it: I did a good oekaki job on this one, transferring what I wanted onto the screen.
Bloody Baron - A very time-consuming oekaki piece - I spent a day just trying to figure out how to draw his blood. Too bad the browser went nuts and I couldn't post, but I did save it. Why I kept it: An almost perfect transfer of what I had in my brain.
Ron Weasley - Drawn on the occasion of Ron's birthday, March 1. Happy Birthday, Ron! Too bad he looks surly. Scanned/ Painter Classic's wet oilsWhy I kept it: I didn't like it initially, but it's held up very well, proportionally and shading-wise.
Percy Weasley - I figured Percy would be the sort of person to show off that he's in the Ministry of Magic, so I gave him an ID badge to flash. Scan/Paint Shop Pro. Why I kept it: I just love the smug expression.
Dolores Umbridge - I thought it would be interesting to draw her as all sweetness and light, but the toadiness is there if you look. Full body sketch. Scan/PainterClassic. Why I kept it: The shading's really good and I like the character design.
Young Dumbledore and Riddle - I think at some point in Chamber of Secrets Dumbledore was walking down a hall with Tom Riddle, so this is an illustration of that, I suppose Scan/PainterClassic. Why I kept it: I like the unfinished effect of this.
Moaning Myrtle - A fairly quick image, manifesting from the toilet. Why I kept it: This didn't take very long, it was spur of the moment, no thought put in, and yet this was one of my most commented works on the oekaki.
The Grey Lady - The as-far unmentioned ghost of Ravenclaw House for this site's front image. PainterClassic. Why I kept it: I kind of like how it turned out, especially since I didn't use an oekaki and couldn't get my usual 'ghost effect'.
House Mascots - Gryffindor: Red/yellow, a lion; Ravenclaw: Blue/bronze, an eagle; Hufflepuff: Yellow/black, a badger; Slytherin: Green/silver, a snake. Why I kept it: Because the lion and eagle turned out really well.
