Ron and Hermione, sitting in a tree ...
Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger - I suppose the two are disagreeing about something; not necessarily shippy. Scan/Painter Classic. Why I kept it: Mostly on the strength of Ron's facial expression, as the coloring and Hermione aren't that great.
Ron decked out in Quidditch gear
Ron on the Quidditch Team - Drawn to celebrate his newfound position, with Quaffle and broom. Go Ron!  Scan/Painter Classic. Why I kept it: I like Ron's determined expression, and this is the only Quidditch picture of him I have so far.
Kingsley Shacklebolt, Ministry of Magic Auror
Kingsley Shacklebolt -  It's from a scene where he's giving Arthur Weasley a copy of the Quibbler.  Scan/ Painter Classic. Why I kept it: Mostly on the strength of the scene concept - I'm not thrilled with how this picture turned out .
Hermione, looking miffed
Hermione Granger - A disgruntled Hermione to match disgruntled Ron and Harry. Her hair was a challenge to color - tried to keep it bushy. Scan/PainterClassic. Why I kept it: I mostly succeeded with what I wanted with the hair.
Eloise Midgen, acne-prone Hufflepuff
Eloise Midgen - A Noczema commercial reminded me of poor Eloise, who tried to magic off her acne and took off her nose instead.  Why I kept it: I really like my tone use here, especially on the mirror, and the inspiration was funny!
Lee Jordan, color commentator
Lee Jordan - I wanted a lively picture of Lee to match his personality, so I went with an impressionistic style.  Why I kept it: I love the colors and style and the fact that his hand doesn't look terrible. It captured his personality pretty well.
Neville and Trevor, drawn better
Neville and Trevor again - Neville, inspired mostly from new dimensions of his character in the fifth book. Hopefully he looks a little more noble. Scan/PainterClassic.  Why I kept it: Miles better than my first Neville pic, but Trevor still looks like roadkill.
Prof. Snape, Potions Master
Prof. Snape -  A quick sketch II dashed off in the hopes of good lab research karma, because Snape's the closest thing to a scientist in the wizarding world... Why I kept it: It's about science! And for a half-assed drawing, it doesn't look half bad.
Pretty Fleur and Flustered Roger
Fleur and Roger - I'm not sure why I like drawing this coupling, since it has no real substance.  Here Roger is transfixed by Fleur's veela charm.  Scan/PainterClassic. Why I kept it: Roger's facial expression, Fleur's hair, and the coloring job.
The younger, eviler Crouch
Barty Crouch, Jr. - Not as sinister as I planned, but I do like the Death Eater mask design.  Weirdly, he looks too much like Ron for my comfort.  Scan/PainterClassic. Why I kept it: He's an interesting character, and there was worse stuff to cut.
